Welcome to our flower farm!

Our journey began with a simple love of cultivating beauty.  Maybe it was “rooted” into us, generations ago.  Jenny’s grandparents purchased the ½ lot next to their Kansas home to grow a vegetable garden and eventually converted their family farm and pastureland to a fruit orchard and nature retreat.  Dave’s grandmother excelled at food preservation from her home garden supplying a bountiful table for her family.  The garden priority continued through the generations to our present day.  No matter our home location, vegetable and flower gardens have always been a top priority.  For as long as we can remember, gardening has always been part of home.

Rooted Resplendence Farm and homestead was established in Central Iowa, north of Ankeny and Elkhart in 2023.  The farm was converted from a traditional row crop field to an open field cut flower farm.  After separate careers in other fields of work, we decided it was time to try something new and work together in a “field” we are both passionate about.  Coincidentally, or perhaps providentially, our daughter’s request to grow flowers for her wedding, helped spur us on to this new adventure.

We believe in being good stewards of our land.  While we are not an organic farm, we try to put many organic practices and habits in place.  We believe in using integrated pest management and do not spray our flowers with harmful chemicals.  We care about our pollinators, beneficial insects, birds, and wildlife around us and seek to make our gardens their home too.  Most importantly, we want to create a happy and healthy garden for people…one in which it is a joy to roam, and a place to marvel at the Maker’s creation.   

Rooted Resplendence Farm was born out of our love of being outdoors, family and home traditions, and relishing the splendor of God’s creation by growing a variety of flowers and other plants.  Each flower tells a story of our commitment to quality and joy while reflecting the Maker’s glory.  We invite you to join us on this adventure, discovering the magic of flowers and the love, care, and hard work we pour into our farm.
